About
If your mind rarely switches off, you're in the right place. Overthinking, mental churn, a weariness that rest alone doesn't fix. These are exactly what I work with. I work with adults who are thoughtful and reflective, but a little exhausted by their own minds. People who understand themselves reasonably well but feel stuck in patterns they can't quite shift on their own. My approach isn't about stopping thoughts or chasing constant calm. It's about changing your relationship with your thinking, loosening its grip so more of life can actually reach you. I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based approaches. I'm both a registered counsellor and a certified mindfulness teacher, so sessions combine therapeutic depth with practical, trainable skills you can use between sessions, not just insights that fade by the following week. Before becoming a counsellor I spent many years in government and public policy, which gave me a strong foundation in listening carefully, holding complexity, and working with thoughtful, capable people navigating difficult terrain. I also volunteer with Lifeline, which continues to deepen my respect for the courage it takes to reach out. I offer flexible online sessions across Australia. No GP referral needed, with a free 20-minute discovery call if you'd like to get a sense of fit before committing.
